New CD
Réa Beaumont’s solo commercial recording A Shrinking Planet was recorded at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre’s historic Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, Canada, and is available internationally. The CD includes a work written for Réa as a CBC Commission by Hong Kong born composer Chan Ka Nin, winner of two Juno Awards. It also features compositions by Canadian icon Barbara Pentland, award-winning composer Alice Ho and Queen Elizabeth Medalist Walter Buczynski.
The CD “A Shrinking Planet” received its world premiere broadcast on CBC Radio 2’s Two New Hours. (CBC Radio 2 is a component of Canada’s public broadcasting corporation). Two New Hours “presents the finest in new concert music from Canada and around the world”.
